SOUL CARE & MEMBERSHIP INTERVIEWS.
Soul Care Sessions are back! We strongly encourage everyone to sign up for a Soul Care Meeting with an Elder. There are lots of times available and you can pick which time would best suit your schedule.
To schedule a Soul Care session or a Membership Interview with one of our pastors, click below. Please do not schedule a membership interview until after you have gone to one of our Connect Classes.
Small Note: If you have become a covenant member within the calendar year of 2024, your membership interview was also your Soul Care session. Therefore, you do not need to sign-up for one again this year. You can, however, sign up for one for next year.
CHURCH MEMBERSHIP IS VERY IMPORTANT TO US.
We are a faith family. This means that joining our church is more than just being on the church roll. We are a family of believers living in community. We live out the 4 D’s of our DNA. We delight in God, we disciple one another, we declare good news, & we display good deeds.
Therefore, we have established a step by step process for anyone interested in joining our church.
STEP 1: CONNECT CLASS
The first step in joining our family involves attending one of our informational connect classes. In these classes, our pastors discuss the finer points of our beliefs, the church structure, our desires for healthy members, and our vision to maximize King's Cross' impact for the Gospel.
Next Class: TBD
STEP 2: MEET WITH A PASTOR
Our pastors want to know every member by name. And so, before anyone officially joins our church, we want to spend time together getting to know you, hearing your story about how the Lord brought you to faith, and finding out how we can best care for you and your family. If you have attended a Connect Class and would like to move forward in the membership process, sign-up for a membership interview at the top of the page!
STEP 3: RECOMMENDATION TO THE FAITH FAMILY
Once the first two steps are completed, the elders will bring a recommendation of you joining our church to the faith family at one of our regular faith family meetings. We will display your picture and will tell your story of how you came to faith. The pastor you met with will officially recommend you once they are done.
STEP 4: COVENANT TOGETHER WITH US
Once your recommendation has been made, we allow a two week period for any Biblical concerns from the faith family to be brought forward and addressed. When two weeks passes, we will call you up at the end of service to join our elders on stage. They will pray over you and you will officially covenant together with us. We will also have church covenants for you to sign. You can see what it says by clicking below.
